DURHAM, N.C. — Cameron Boozer recorded a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double as No. 4 Duke pulled away early in the second half to defeat No. 20 Louisville 83–52 on Monday night. The win kept the Blue Devils undefeated in Atlantic Coast Conference play and completed a season sweep of the league’s projected top challenger. Duke (19–1, 8–0 ACC) broke open a tight contest by scoring 13 consecutive points bridging halftime. Isaiah Evans and Patrick Ngongba II each contributed 15 points as the Blue Devils asserted their dominance inside, controlling the paint and outworking Louisville on the boards while shooting 50.8 percent from the field. The victory marked Duke’s 27th straight win at Cameron Indoor Stadium and improved the team’s record to 7–1 against AP Top 25 opponents this season. Earlier this month, Duke rallied from a 12-point deficit to beat Louisville on the road, shooting over 70 percent in the second half of that matchup. Louisville (14–6, 4–4 ACC) struggled offensively, enduring a prolonged cold stretch that spanned both halves. The Cardinals made just three of 22 shots over a 15-minute period and finished the game shooting 29.6 percent overall. Ryan Conwell led Louisville with 18 points.
Freshman guard Mikel Brown Jr., a highly regarded NBA prospect, made his first appearance against Duke this season after missing the previous meeting with a back injury. Brown had difficulty finding rhythm in Cameron Indoor Stadium, scoring seven points on 1-for-13 shooting and committing three turnovers. Louisville will look to rebound when it hosts SMU on Saturday, while Duke travels to face Virginia Tech.
