No. 6 LSU Dominates Florida Behind Richard’s 20-Point Night.

BATON ROUGE, La. — Jada Richard scored 20 points to lead No. 6 LSU to an 89–60 win over Florida on Monday night, as the Tigers pulled away in the second half to secure their fifth consecutive Southeastern Conference victory. LSU improved to 19–2 overall and 5–2 in SEC play after recovering from early conference losses to Kentucky and Vanderbilt. The Tigers received balanced scoring throughout the lineup, with MiLaysia Fulwiley contributing 15 points and Amiya Joiner recording a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Mikaylah Williams added 12 points as LSU opened a three-game homestand. Florida, now 13–9 overall and 1–6 in the SEC, was paced by Liv McGill, who finished with 14 points and eight rebounds. The Gators stayed competitive early, trailing just 22–19 after the first quarter and briefly taking the lead midway through the second period. Despite struggling offensively during an extended stretch in the first half, LSU regained control late before halftime. After Florida took a one-point lead, the Tigers closed the half on a 10–2 run to enter the break ahead 36–29. Richard sparked LSU’s third-quarter surge, scoring 12 points as the Tigers outscored Florida 27–16 in the period. LSU capitalized on Florida turnovers, converting them into easy points to build a commanding lead.

Fulwiley took over in the fourth quarter, scoring 11 points while adding two rebounds and two blocks, including a chasedown rejection on a Florida fast-break attempt. LSU cruised through the final minutes to secure the decisive victory. Florida will return to action Thursday at home against Texas, while LSU continues its homestand Thursday versus Arkansas.
