Aaron Rodgers missed a segment of the New York Jets' mandatory minicamp in June due to a planned trip. According to SNYTV's Connor Hughes, Rodgers had a trip to Egypt scheduled for the same week as the minicamp. Although he was present for all of Phase 1, he was absent for a week of Phase 2, as reported by Hughes. Furthermore, Rodgers was in attendance for every OTA practice.

Hughes mentioned that the Jets were made aware of the trip and do not believe it will impact the season. He also noted that the communication was lacking initially. Now reunited with the team, Rodgers will strive to continue his journey back from a torn Achilles suffered during the first offensive drive of the Jets' 2023 season. The four-time MVP was sidelined for the rest of the year due to the injury.

Last offseason, he signed with the Jets, raising high hopes in New York after over a decade of struggles. Unfortunately, an injury kept him from meeting those expectations as New York ended the season with a mediocre 7-10 record. Now preparing for his comeback, Rodgers aims to replicate the success of his last healthy season. In 2022, while still with the Green Bay Packers, he achieved 3,695 passing yards and 26 touchdowns.

Just a few seasons ago, he won back-to-back MVPs in 2020 and 2021, and he is aiming for MVP-like performance this season. Despite Rodgers' absence being a hot topic among fans recently, New York is now focused on moving past it and concentrating on the rest of the offseason.
