Tyreek Hill Could Sign With New Team Soon as Chiefs Remain in Mix.

Free-agent wide receiver Tyreek Hill could be nearing a return to the NFL, with his agent expecting contract discussions with several teams to begin Monday. Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN that he expects Hill could reach an agreement with a team within the next few days. The Kansas City Chiefs are among the teams showing interest and have remained in contact with the veteran receiver. A potential reunion with Kansas City comes as the Chiefs deal with injuries at wide receiver. Tyquan Thornton is expected to miss significant time after suffering a dislocated left ankle Sunday. Rashee Rice also exited Kansas City's Week 4 victory with a hamstring injury. Through four weeks, Rice and Thornton have combined for 24 receptions on 31 targets, totaling 409 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Hill has been a free agent since the Miami Dolphins released him in February, a move that created additional salary-cap flexibility for the organization. His previous season ended in Week 4 after he dislocated his left knee and suffered multiple ligament injuries, including a torn ACL. A return to Kansas City would bring Hill back to the franchise where he began his NFL career. He spent six seasons with the Chiefs alongside quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, scoring 62 total touchdowns during his time with the organization. Hill's previous experience in head coach Andy Reid's offense could make a potential transition easier if the two sides reach an agreement. In recent weeks, Hill has shared social media videos showing himself running routes and catching passes as he continues working toward a return. The Chiefs reportedly believe Hill is targeting November to get back on the field.
With negotiations expected to begin soon, Hill could have a new team within days as Kansas City and other interested clubs evaluate adding the veteran receiver.
