The Sacramento Kings rallied from a large deficit to defeat the Indiana Pacers 114–109 on Tuesday night, powered by a dominant fourth-quarter performance from rookie guard Devin Carter. Carter scored a career-high 24 points, including 22 in the final quarter, helping Sacramento overcome a 20-point deficit. Carter delivered an impressive stretch late in the game, scoring 13 consecutive points for the Kings. Sacramento trailed by 10 points entering the fourth quarter but mounted a strong comeback behind Carter’s offensive surge. Overall, the Kings shot 46 percent from the field and 35 percent from three-point range, while the Pacers shot 41 percent from the field and 30 percent from beyond the arc. Rookie center Maxime Raynaud contributed significantly with an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double, marking his 15th double-double of the season. His clutch and-one jumper with 16 seconds remaining helped secure the victory. Veteran guard Russell Westbrook added 16 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds. Teammates DeMar DeRozan and Nique Clifford also chipped in with 12 points each. For the Pacers, Aaron Nesmith led all scorers with 29 points, with 24 of those coming in the first half. Obi Toppin recorded 17 points and five rebounds, while Kam Jones added 14 points and nine assists.
Indiana controlled the first half and held a 59–42 lead at halftime. However, Sacramento gradually closed the gap and took its first lead since the opening quarter when Carter knocked down a three-pointer with 4:16 remaining in the game. The loss extended the Pacers’ losing streak to 10 games, the longest current streak in the NBA. Indiana was also without two key contributors, as Pascal Siakam missed the game due to a right knee sprain and Andrew Nembhard was sidelined with back and neck soreness. The victory ended Sacramento’s three-game losing streak against Indiana, including a previous 116–105 loss on Dec. 8 in Indianapolis. Next, the Pacers will host the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, while the Kings will face the Charlotte Hornets at home on Wednesday.
