WINNIPEG, Manitoba — Calvin Pickard turned aside 41 shots to lead the Edmonton Oilers to a 3–1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Monday night. Max Jones and Jack Roslovic scored for Edmonton, while Zach Hyman sealed the win with an empty-net goal late in the third period. With the win, the Oilers improved to 20–14–6 on the season and are 4–2–0 over their last six games. Connor McDavid assisted on Hyman’s goal, extending his point streak to 13 games. During that stretch, McDavid has recorded 13 goals and 20 assists.

Winnipeg’s lone goal came from Adam Lowry, who played in his 800th career NHL game. Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck finished with 18 saves as Winnipeg dropped to 0–4–3 over its past seven games.

The Jets will travel to Detroit to face the Red Wings on Wednesday night, while the Oilers return home to host the Boston Bruins the same evening.
