There are many great programs across Colorado but to be specific I am going to give out a top ten watchlist for the upcoming 2025 season. This is based on the strength of  schedule of this upcoming season and performance of the 2024 season. Coming in at #1 Cherry Creek , they will matchup against familiar faces but also have two out of state games being back to back. Cherry Creek total record was (13-1). Cherry Creek went on a 13 game win streak to become the 5A state champions. They are bringing back many of their players and look to make another push at the state title this season.

#2 Legend had an outstanding season finishing (12-2) having many good games across their schedule this upcoming season once again. In the 2024 season legend would lose to columbine (14-16) then went on and defeated everyone else and pinched their ticket to the 5A state championship game. They would fall just three points to Cherry Creek. (10-13) Legend is looking to have another successful season.

#3 Valor was another team on this list who is consistently having winning seasons and making deep playoff pushes. This past year Valor would only lose to Mountain Vista and top ranked Cherry Creek in the Semifinals. Valor will play a fair amount of tough teams and looks to push for another state title appearance.

#4 Ralston Valley was doubted all off season heading into the 2024 season because of the amount of players who were leaving. Ralston valley used that as fuel and silenced all the noise and critics. Ralston Valley would finish (10-2) they also would become 5A Metro League Champions. Ralston valley is another team who has been consistent in making the playoffs under head coach Jared yannacito. The Mustangs look to push for another playoff appearance, The Mustangs are close to knocking the door down and reaching the state tile game.

#5 Mountain Vista had a perfect regular season going (10-0) vista was averaging 35+ points a game breaking offensive records and having dominating wins. Vista looks to have a tough schedule playing valor and the defending state champions Cherry Creek. Vista had all the momentum leading into the playoffs and would match up against the 7th seed Fairview Knights. But would end up falling (49-45) Vista looks to bounce back and make a serious push.

#6 Columbine had an amazing start to the 2024 season winning 7 straight. The Rebels have a fair enough of tough teams on their schedule in the upcoming season. The Rebels were looking to win their eight game the rebels were the 2023 state champions and had a  perfect (14-0) season. Up until this point the Rebels had not lost a game in a year. Ralston valley and Columbie would have a nail-biter overtime game but the Rebels would fall (34-35 in OT) The rebels look to make another state title run.

#7 Fairview had a perfect regular season finishing (10-0) Fairview was putting up over 30+ a game and were having dominant wins. The Playoffs would come around and the Knights were placed as the 7th seed. They would knock off Chatfield and the upset of the season beating Mountain Vista (49-45) The Knights would then play legend in the semi finals but fall (35-21) Fairview is looking to make some serious noise this season and make another deep playoff push.

#8 Pine Creek played a lot of tough teams in the 2024 season. Pine Creek would finish (7- Creek looks to host Valor in their opener game to kickoff the 2025 season this will be a good matchup. Creek would make a playoff appearance but lose to the newly introduced 5A Erie Tigers.  Pine creek looks to bounce back.

#9 Erie was introduced into 5A after winning the state championship in 2023. Erie would finish 10-3 playing some familiar and new faces but put up a good fight and they would make the playoffs in their first season in 5A. Erie would fall to Cherry Creek (34-14). Erie looks to play Brighton in their first game this season. Erie looks to prove they are here to stay in 5A.

#10 Regis had a record of (6-6) starting off rough losing their first three games but regis is playing another set of tough teams this season and looks to have a successful season and make some noise. Regis in their opener game will face the defending champions Cherry Creek.
