Thomas Harley and Wyatt Johnston Power Dallas Stars Past Utah Mammoth 3-2

SALT LAKE CITY -- A breaking NHL update saw Thomas Harley and Wyatt Johnston score first-period power-play goals to propel the Dallas Stars to a 3-2 victory over the Utah Mammoth on Saturday, extending Dallas’s winning streak to four games.

Harley opened the scoring with a close-range snap shot 2:11 into the game, followed by Johnston tipping in a puck for his 29th goal of the season at 7:42. Matt Duchene added a third goal for Dallas before the first period ended. Jamie Benn contributed two assists, and goaltender Casey DeSmith made 12 saves to secure the Stars’ road victory, capping a successful three-game trip.

For Utah, Kailer Yamamoto scored twice with assists from JJ Peterka, who recorded his 101st career assist. Goaltender Karel Vejmelka stopped 28 shots, but the Mammoth struggled offensively, generating only 14 shots on goal. Dallas capitalized on two early power-play opportunities to establish control and maintain momentum despite a late third-period goal by Yamamoto at 6:41.

The latest timeline impact positions Dallas as a strong contender heading into a matchup against the Winnipeg Jets on Monday, while Utah will look to rebound against the Vancouver Canucks the same night.

The Stars’ efficient power-play execution and balanced scoring demonstrate the team’s depth and ability to respond under pressure, whereas the Mammoth must improve offensive consistency and defensive coverage moving forward.
