Thomas Harley Overtime Goal Secures Dallas Stars Victory Over St. Louis Blues

St. Louis — In a breaking update Tuesday night, Thomas Harley scored with just over a minute remaining to lift the Dallas Stars to a 4-3 victory over the St. Louis Blues, ending a late rally and extending Dallas’ dominance in the series.

Matt Duchene recorded a pair of goals for his first multigoal game since February 8, while Roope Hintz added a power-play goal. Jake Oettinger made 23 saves as Dallas improved to 10-2-1 against St. Louis dating back to November 28, 2022, and won for the third time in their last four games.

Brayden Schenn scored twice in the third period, and Robby Fabbri also found the net as the Blues attempted a comeback from a three-goal deficit. Jordan Binnington made 20 saves in net for St. Louis, which dropped its fifth consecutive game.

Duchene opened the scoring on a power-play goal at 3:20 of the second period, breaking a scoreless tie. He followed with a second goal 40 seconds later when a deflection off Blues defenseman Logan Mailloux, who was tied up with Jamie Benn in the crease, found its way into the net. Hintz’s power-play goal at 1:54 gave Dallas a 3-0 advantage. This marked the 15th game this season where the Stars scored multiple goals with the man advantage.

Fabbri cut the deficit to 3-1 at 3:15 of the third period, his first goal since January 28, 2025, with Anaheim. Schenn then scored twice—first at 6:22 and again with 4:10 remaining—to tie the game and force a tense final minute. Harley’s decisive goal prevented the Blues from completing their comeback.

St. Louis lost key forwards in the game, with Jake Neighbours leaving due to a lower-body injury and Jordan Kyrou exiting with an upper-body issue. Both players did not return, raising questions about the team’s lineup for upcoming games.

The Stars will travel to Vegas on Thursday night, while the Blues return home to host Florida, looking to halt their losing streak. This result further solidifies Dallas’ standing as one of the top teams in the Western Conference and highlights the continued offensive depth of Duchene and Hintz, while St. Louis faces pressure to address both injuries and late-game execution.
